The month of August is filled with many festivals:
Our first festival of the month is Jhulan Yatra (Aug. 2-7) where devotees come and swing the Divine Couple on a beautifully decorated swing for 5 days.
The second festival is the Appearance of Lord Balarama (Aug. 7). Known as the elder brother of Lord Krishna, He is the first direct expansion of the Lord, and is thus also worshiped as the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
